WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING A SOUND HEALING SESSION?

In a sound healing session, you can expect a deeply calming and restorative experience, designed to bring both your mind and body into balance. The experience will depend on which service you choose, whether it's a 1:1 sound healing session, a group soundbath, or a sound massage experience. However, the same benefits can be experienced across all sessions, such as deep relaxation, stress relief, emotional release, and physical healing. During the session, you’ll be guided into a relaxed state, beginning with a short meditation to help you settle in. From there, various instruments like Tibetan singing bowls, crystal bowls, gongs, chimes, and drums are played around and sometimes directly on the body, allowing you to feel the vibrations and sound waves moving through you. Many people experience a shift in energy, a release of emotional or physical tension, and a sense of lightness and clarity after the session. Others may feel a deep meditative state or even drift into a peaceful sleep. Ultimately, each session is unique to what your mind and body need in that moment.

IS THERE ANY PHYSICAL ACTIVITY INVOLVED IN A SOUND HEALING SESSION?

No, there is no physical activity involved in a sound healing session. All you need to do is lie down comfortably, relax, and allow the sounds and vibrations to wash over you. The experience is completely passive, allowing your body and mind to enter a deep state of rest and relaxation. It’s recommended to wear warm, comfy clothes and thick socks, as your body temperature can drop when you enter a deep meditative state (theta state).

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO A SOUND HEALING SESSION?

It's best to wear warm, comfortable clothing that allows you to fully relax. Thick socks are encouraged, as body temperature can drop when you reach a deep meditative or sleep state, known as the theta state. Layers are also a good idea so you can adjust your comfort throughout the session. The more relaxed and cosy you feel, the deeper you’ll be able to surrender to the experience.

DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING TO A SOUND HEALING SESSION?

You don’t need to bring anything in particular to a sound healing session, apart from a bottle of water, as staying hydrated after the session is important. However, you’re more than welcome to bring any personal items that will help you feel more comfortable, such as an eye mask or extra blankets.

IS SOUND HEALING SAFE FOR EVERYONE?

Sound healing is safe for most people and there are many case studies that show its benefits for a wide variety of individuals. However, if you are pregnant, have a pacemaker, or experience sound sensitivity in any part of your body, it's recommended that you consult with your GP before booking a session to ensure it's suitable for you. Yes, children can attend sound healing sessions, but it is important to tailor the experience to their needs. Sound healing can be very beneficial for children, helping with relaxation, stress relief, and emotional balance. However, since children have different energy levels and attention spans, it's essential to ensure the session is designed in a way that is engaging and calming for them. WHAT ARE CHAKRAS?

Chakras are energy centers in the body that are believed to govern various physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of our well-being. The word "chakra" comes from the Sanskrit word for "wheel" or "disk," as each chakra is thought to spin like a wheel, moving energy throughout the body. There are seven main chakras, each associated with a specific area of the body and corresponding to different physical and emotional states. Root Chakra (Muladhara) – Located at the base of the spine, it represents grounding, stability, and safety. Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana) – Located in the lower abdomen, it governs creativity, pleasure, and emotional well-being. Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura) – Located in the upper abdomen, it influences personal power, confidence, and self-esteem. Heart Chakra (Anahata) – Located in the center of the chest, it is the center of love, compassion, and connection. WHAT IS THETA BRAINWAVE STATE?

Theta brainwave state is a deeply relaxed, meditative state that occurs when your brainwaves slow down to a frequency of 4-8 Hz. It is often associated with deep relaxation, creativity, and access to the subconscious mind. We naturally enter the theta state during deep meditation, hypnosis, right before falling asleep, and just as we wake up. In this state, the mind becomes more open to healing, emotional release, and reprogramming limiting beliefs. It is also where deep intuition, creativity, and connection to higher consciousness can be accessed.
